You're a blogger now?

The summer I moved to London, I was excited for a new beginning. My aunt had pre-warned me that I would be the girl with the thick Jamaican accent. She was not wrong. Approximately three years later I returned home for a visit. I had missed my friends and remaining family. On my visit I took lots of pictures so that when I returned to London I'd have memories of my time at home. I needed a place to store them and document all the things I had been up to so I decided to create a blog.

I branded myself 'the island girl '. I felt that the name was true to me. I was born and bred in Jamaica, an island, and I moved to England, another island sooo island girl?
I blogged for approximately 2 years from 2014 and then I stopped. I enjoyed it but I couldn't maintain my blog, attend university and work. I wish there was some way that I could have juggled it all but I had to let go of something. I maintained 'the island girl ' but I let go of the blog. I always get asked, "hey what happened to your blog?" I could also see how much my blog could have grown and how many opportunities I could have gotten because of it.

I have recently graduated from university (I can now remember a blog post I had made when I had just started 4 years ago lol) and I have one less thing to juggle. They say if you wait to start something, you'll never start it. Soo, welcome to my blog.
You can expect a little bit of everything on here from fashion to lifestyle to traveling. I hope to travel more as I love experiencing new countries and seeing how people across the world live. Maybe one day I'll even try solo traveling. I think it's time to find myself (whatever that means). Keep up with me. I promise not to bore you.
