Three Little Birds

Recently I was invited down to a #BangingBloggersBrunch at the Three Little Birds restaurant in Battersea Rise. Three Little Birds is a Jamaican inspired restaurant opened by April Jackson in 2015. The restaurant is a reflection of April's roots in Jamaica with it's name taken from a classic Bob Marley song. The first location opened was in Brixton. The Battersea Rise location was recently opened in April 2018. On the restaurants menu you can find many classic Jamaican dishes being reinterpreted and an array of rum cocktails. Brunch is available at both locations and has the option of bottomless prosecco!

The first thing that caught my eye when I entered was the bar. The brick wall, marble and low lit lights gives the restaurant a cosy feel. This is definitely a place where you could sit and catch up with a friend. Towards the back of the restaurant creates a very intimate area ideal for a date night. At the event we were welcomed with a shot of Appleton Rum (it's 5pm somewhere right?). We started off brunch with cocktails - Rum Punch for me please! Throughout the event we tasted samples of items from both the brunch and main menu. April definitely hasn't left the classic Jamaican dish, ackee and salt fish, off of the menu and it was banging! My favourite was the jerk chicken burger. The hint of spice definitely placed a twist on things. We had samples of the carrot cake as well. It was soft with the right amount of sweetness. Our server Tania was very attentive and ensured that we were looked after.

I have visited the Brixton branch and the quality is consistent for both restaurants. It is lovely to see Jamaicans in the diaspora doing well. Well done April Jackson!

Take a look at the restaurant for yourself
